CrownMaple Apple Crisp Recipe

2 1/2 pound apples, peeled, quartered and cut into 1/4-inch wedges
1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/3 cup Crown Maple syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup maple sugar or light brown sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a bowl, toss apples with raisins, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Spread out apple mixture evenly in the bottom of a buttered 9-inch deep-dish pie pan; set aside. Toss oats with the maple or brown sugar, flour, remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon and salt. Add butter and stir until evenly moistened. Scatter oat mixture over apples all the way to the edge and bake for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Let rest for 20 to 30 minutes and then serve.
