Benji The Original Classic

Out now from Mill Creek Entertainment is Benji- The Original Classic which has Blu-Ray + DVD+ Digital Combo. Benji is a gripping story told from the heart and soul of a vagabond, floppy-eared mutt that remains one of the best love movies for audiences of all ages. Writer/director Joe Camp’s Oscar-nominated canine classic which redefined family films is now available like never before with a high definition widescreen restoration and loaded with bonus features. Some of the special features are a photo gallery, original theatrical trailer, and commentary with Joe & Brandon Camp. Behind the scenes, featurettes include Benji at work and the phenomenon of Benji.
Benji is the gripping story of a vagabond dog struggling to communicate something he’s seen to humans. Humans who need to know but cannot grasp the concept that a dog could possibly help. Benji is a story of frustration and persistence along with love and suspense.

For the first time ever that a dog has actually acted on the screen; expressed emotion and done it so very well that we, the audience, completely understand everything Benji is thinking and doing, every turn and twist, without a word of dialog being spoken.  Benji stars Patsy Garrett (Ironside), Allen Fuzat (Benji), Cynthia Smith (Thin Ice), Peter Breck( TV Series John Doe), Edgar Buchanan ( Petticoat Junction), and Francis Bavier (The Andy Griffith Show).
My Opinion: I really love the story of Benji is such a classic and adults and kids alike will like the meaning of the show as it is heartwarming and teaches you a lesson.
