Disney Freaky Friday: A New Musical

Coming to DVD on September 25, 2018 is Disney Freaky Friday: A New Musical is directed by Steve Carr, choreography is by John Carrafa and it stars Cozi Zuehlsdorff (Dolphin Tale), Heidi Blickenstaff (TV Series Submissions Only), Rickey He (Christmas Solo), Alex Desert (TV Series Station 19), Jason Maybaum (TV Series Ravens Home). 16-year-old Ellie Blake and her uber-organized mom Katherine are constantly at odds about Ellie’s messy room, sloppy clothes, and seemingly careless attitude. Ellie really misses her dad, who passed away a few years ago; she bickers with her younger brother and argues with Katherine, who is getting ready to marry her fiancĂ©, Mike tomorrow. As mother and daughter quarrel, the accidentally break the treasured hourglass given to Ellie by her father and then, suddenly, magically switch bodies. Now, Ellie and Katherine must trade places at work and at school, and during one crazy day, they learn to understand and appreciate each other.

My Opinion: this is a very cute movie and it is they take on Freaky Friday which you probably have seen before. Although I have never seen a musical form of Freaky Friday this was truly fabulous and I recommend it as every family should watch it.
