American Masters Laura Ingalls Wilder Prairie To Page presents a candid look at the unlikely author whose autobiographical fiction helps shape America's ideas of the frontier and self-reliance.

A Midwestern farm woman who published her first novel at age 65, Laura Ingalls Wilder transformed her frontier childhood into the best-selling “Little House “series. 2020 marks the 85th anniversary of the publication Little House on the Prairie (1935). The documentary delves into the legacy of the iconic pioneer and how she re-imagined her early life into enduring legend, a process that involves a little-known collaboration with her daughter Rose. This film explores the context in which Wilder lived and wrote, as well as the true nature of her personality.

My Opinion: I read the whole series of this when I was a kid I did really enjoyed this author’s writing style and i read the whole series and had them all I also watched the TV show that it became. She is truly an iconic woman and I had no idea she published her first novel at age 65.It is truly amazing to think that you can do anything at any age. It also showed so much that you didn’t know about Laura Ingalls Wilder
