I recently was able to review the new PowerTel 700 Series from Amplicom and can I tell you this the most awesome phone I have ever owned or learned about. I got a Corded Phone with a built in answering machine and has the following features: hearing aid compatible with TIA 1083 Compliant, High quality sound and low distortion when amplified to max level. Easy to use, adjustable volume for calls amplified up to max 50 dB, Integrated answering machine with up to 11 min. record time, talk-back numbers and caller ID (for missed calls and numbers in phone book), adjustable hands free speakerphone 3 programmable volume / tone control buttons on the base for multi user profiles + 2 on cordless handset, flashing bright white LED visual ringer, corded telephone can be used in the event of a power failure. I also got Cordless HeadSet which has also hearing aid compatible, TIA 1083 compliant, high quality sound and this also has WIRELESS DECT 6.0 WRIST SHAKER this vibrates with an incoming call, visual LED call signaling, when button is pressed you speak with it. Automatically calls 911 when you press the red button. This retails from $100 TO $250 for your home which is affordable.
My Opinion: I no longer have to pay a monthly fee for an answering machine as now I have a built in one. The phones is clear and no muffled voices on the other end which is a plus I also think this wrist shaker is great for an elderly family member or anyone with a health condition to wear as you can hit the red button to call 911 so you do not worry as much with them living alone .
