Besides remembering those who served in the military, how about we go to the graves of our loved ones and past family members and place flowers? That is what my mom and dad have done for years, and I went with my mom a couple of years ago now to Porter, ME, to Uncle Joe & Rita Cross, Aunt Marilyn & Uncle Kenny Douglass, Aunt Gerry Bickford in Parsonsfield, ME, Grammy Mildred Douglass, and so many more. A lot died when I was a kid, and I did not get much time to get to know them, which I wish I could have.
My dad in 2019 0f a stomach cancer that came quick and took him sooner than expected.
