Mermaid Island board game from the Peaceable Kingdom is a game of cooperation and adventure for ages five and up, 2 to 6 players and about 15 minutes and complete each game. Each box contains one game board, three mermaid tokens, 1 Sea Witch with stand, for want tokens, and one spinner. Watch out, mermaids! The Sea Witch is on the move! Cooperate to help the 3-mermaids swim to Mermaid Island before the Sea Witch gets there. Spin and move, pick up a want and you’ll have the power to defeat the Sea Witch. But don’t let the Sea Witch land on a mermaid or she’ll go back to start. All players play together against the Sea Witch instead of against each other. The skills your child will learn play in this are a strategy, cooperation, social and emotional development, shared decision-making.

Monopoly Mega Edition from Winning Moves
Winning Moves has Monopoly: The Mega Edition which
is for ages 8+ and 2-8 players can play at one time making this a great family
game. This is based on the original monopoly game but with this one you can own
more properties with 9 additional added to this board game and has 3 more
spaces. You can build more houses, hotels and keep going to build skyscrapers
to earn mega rents. You can even build train depots on the railroads! You start
the game with $2500 including a $1000 bill. The speed die and bus tickets make
the action fast and intense play an entire game in 90 minutes or less.
My Opinion: I like Monopoly and use to play all the
time when I was a kid and always felt it took too long to win but now with this
being a shorter amount of time to win in just 90 minutes is awesome.
