Winning Moves

The beloved game that was popular in the 1980’s is now available on a key ring it is Rubik's Cube! I remember sitting hours trying to figure out how to get all the colors lined up red, orange, green, white, yellow and blue but were never successful at it.  For ages 8 and up you can play while you wait for the doctor, dentist, oil change, dinner and where ever you may go that requires you to wait. I really enjoy playing the mini version of the Rubik’s Cube and having it on my car key ring. To see more visit https://www.winning-moves.com/product/RubiksKeyRing.asp

Winning Moves also sent me The Velveteen rabbit Game this is for ages 4 and up with 1bifold gameboard, 4 Velveteen Rabbit Movers with Plastic Bases, 1 Oversized Spinner, 4 Cardboard Pink Hearts, 16 Picture cards, and instructions. The object of the game is to race your special Velveteen Rabbit move around the board collecting story cards along the way. Special “hop” spaces add to player’s enjoyment. The first player to make it back to the center of the board with all their cards earns a pink heart and wins the game. To see more visit https://www.winning-moves.com/product/velveteenrabbit.asp

The last game I got is Chutes and Ladders for ages 4 and up and includes a heavy duty bi-fold game board, 4 movers with plastic bases, oversized spinner and illustrated instructions. The object of the game is to spin the spinner and move the spaces you get going up ladders and down chutes, a child will learn by the pictures on the board the rewards of good deeds and the consequences of naughty ones. The first player to reach the number 100 space is the winner. This board has the original 1970’s artwork which I remember ever so clearly when I was a child. My Opinion: This is my first time playing The Velveteen rabbit and it is so much fun with my young nieces and, of course, the Rubik's cube keyring is a blast and so is Chutes and Ladders.

Candy Land from Winning Moves

My earliest memory from childhood on Christmas time is waking up and opening a present with the game Candy Land inside and playing with my sisters and family and today when I see this game the memories come rushing back. I recently got this game from Winning Moves to review and if you have never seen this game first of all you are missing out and second it is such a great game for kids ages 4 and up. The object of the game is to get your plastic gingerbread (4 total) moved around the board by drawing cards from the 64 card deck and they all have pictures on them. Travel through Gumdrop Mountain , Candy Hearts, the Peppermint Stick Forest, Lollypop Woods, Ice Cream Floats, the Gingerbread Plum Tree , the Crooked Old Peanut Brittle House and Molasses Swamp.

My Opinion: This is a great first kids game is it has bright and beautifully drawn cards and easy to follow for young kids. I love this game and it will be given to any kids I know for years to come for either a birthday or Christmas.
Did you know Candy Land has been around since the 1940’s and has been a favorite first ever since? Millions of children have learned how to recognize colors, practice counting and acquire the skills of turn taking and following directions.

Winning Moves

Board Games are what builds a bond with parents and child and can have a lasting memory for all with that in mind Winning moves offers so many great board games to play with your family. I got the following to review
Box of Bunco: The object of this game is to use the 3 dice cups with special bonuses, 3 sets of hot looking dice and the bell, on the cups it tells you which dice to get and how many points when you achieve that you ring the bell. This game is for ages 12 and up.

Janga Throw N’ Go: The blocks are in the colors purple, aqua and black. You roll the dice and determine which block you need to remove, for ages 8 and up.

Crocodile Dentist: The croc has a toothache and you get to pretend to be a dentist and remove that tooth and you grab the tooth but watch out pull the wrong one and you get a surprise; for ages 4 and up.

Totally Crazy Eights: This game is a twist on the classic as these are shaped like an eight and you can see both cards when flipped over, for ages 8 and up.

My Opinion: These games are fun and great entertainment for the whole family and will make lasting memories. These games are also good to get away from the electronics when there is a power outage or camping in the wilderness. I love board games and they hold very special memories for me.

Splash Cards and Touring from Winning Moves,

If you have been following my blog you know about Winning Moves and how they have great board games you played as a kid and more to play with your kids as well. They now have Splash Pals which are used in the bath tub to make it fun or you can use these in a pool for more entertainment. I got Splash Jack which a deck of floating cards which you can play any card game like War, Slap Jack, Go Fish and so much more. The next one I got was Splash Pals which you have three piles one heads, one legs and last body you then combine them to matching, memory, numbers or create a person with any body combination. Splash Jack Royal which can be poker in the hot tub, solitaire and more. Splashanimals which animal parts will you match up the same, two different bodies or reading skill use. Touring this card game is the original auto race game the object of the game is to complete a trip based on the mile card you drew but look out your
opponents will be looking to give you a flat tire and accidents.

My Opinion: These are great and the splash cards are so lightweight and I like the idea that they float. This will make a kids bath time fun and they will want to take a bath and this summer when you go to the beach everyday this will cure the boredom they may feel as well. They Splash Royal cards are great for adults to play poker in the hot tub or pool.

Classic Sorry from Winning Moves

One of my fondest memories as a child was playing sorry when I was a child with my family and it was a lot of fun and so I could not pass up the opportunity to review Classic Sorry from Winning Moves. The object of the game is to get all four colored pieces (pawns) home and this board is heavy duty bi-fold, 16 Pawns and 44 cards. This is again another great game for family game night and makes a nice Christmas gift for your loved ones. The only thing that will have to be learned when playing this game is how to become a loser and that you do not always win at games. To learn more visit http://winning-moves.com/product/ClassicSorry.asp , Winning Moves makes so many puzzles and games great for the upcoming holiday or birthday gift.
