Dark Was the Night Out 9/1/15

Coming out on DVD September 1, 2015 from RLJ Entertainment and Image Entertainment is Dark Was the Night which is directed by Jack Heller and stars Kevin Durand (The Strain), Lucas Haas (Solarbabies) Bianca Kajlich (Rules of Engagement TV Series), and Nick Damici (Stake Land).
Maiden Woods is a remote and quiet town of decent, hard-working people but something stirs in the dark woods surrounding the isolated community. After a logging company decimates an area of the forest a rash of increasingly violent and unexplainable events transpires. Sheriff Paul Shields and his deputy struggle to confront their own personal demons while facing down a new breed of raw terror that is possibly older then humanity itself and much, much hungrier.

My Opinion: I was sitting on the couch watching this movie and cuddling up to my yorkie Fiona as I was so tense watching this wondering what was going to happen and all the twist and turns this movie had had my heart beating very fast. I really enjoyed this movie but the ending was unexpected. This movie runs 98 minutes long.
There are also special features included with this DVD Behind the Scenes: A Trip to Madien Woods and Q&A with the cast of Dark Was the Night.

Poker Night Out February 10,2015

XLRATOR Media will be releasing Poker Night on DVD and Blu-Ray and can be purchased on February 10, 2015. This movie was written and directed by Greg Francis and stars Ron Perlman (13 Sins), Giancarlo Esposito (Once Upon A Time TV Series), Beau Mirchoff (CSI TV Series), Titus Welliver (Red2), Michael Eklund (Bates Motel TV Series), Ron Eldard (Super 8) and Corey Large (The Frozen Ground).
This movie runs 105 minutes and is a Thriller rated NR.

In this twisted thriller, a young detective is caught in a sadistic game of cat and mouse when he is kidnapped and tormented by a masked serial killer. In order to survive the rookie must use the wisdom imparted to him by senior detectives on their regular poker night.
My Opinion: This movie kept my interest all the way through and having to love the game of poker this was a great movie to see if he was going to come out alive or continue a cat and mouse game.

As a child grows within her she begins to exhibit increasingly bizarre and violent behavior. Desperate to save his wife and unborn child, Trevor searches for answers and discovers Holly may have fallen prey to an ancient curse spawned by an evil demon with an insatiable lust for blood.

My Opinion: This movie was not what i expected and was different then some horror movies i have seen. I was left yet again wanting more.
