Connect 4 Twist & Turn

Remember as a kid playing Connect 4? I do! With has red and yellow plastic disc oh how much fun that was seeing who can win and lose. Today they have Connect 4 Twist & Turn for the newer generation and it is just like the classic game you still have red and yellow disc but with a twist when you drop a disc into the slot at each level you drop the disc and give a twist and you line up four to win.

Included in the box is one Connect 4 Twist & Turn game, 18 red plastic disc, 18 yellow plastic discs and instructions; For ages 6 and up, 2 players and can last anywhere from 10-20 minutes.

My Opinion: This newer version is so much fun but makes you think of your moves so much more then with the original version.  This does travel so much easier though as all the pieces stay contained inside the Twits & Turn. This is a great family game for all and building memories with the kids and family fun.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Nurses Week

In honor of Nurses Week I wanted to share some cards in honor of those who do so much to help those in need and need help every day. I know you have a nurse that has helped so much! Nurses help in so many ways from delivering a new baby, doctors office ,helping with surgery and at a nursing home. Make sure to tell them how thankful you are for their help because without them where would you be?

I work with some great nurses every day and they really do so much for there patients and show patience and compassion. I watch them and at awe with all they do.

Candy Land from Winning Moves

My earliest memory from childhood on Christmas time is waking up and opening a present with the game Candy Land inside and playing with my sisters and family and today when I see this game the memories come rushing back. I recently got this game from Winning Moves to review and if you have never seen this game first of all you are missing out and second it is such a great game for kids ages 4 and up. The object of the game is to get your plastic gingerbread (4 total) moved around the board by drawing cards from the 64 card deck and they all have pictures on them. Travel through Gumdrop Mountain , Candy Hearts, the Peppermint Stick Forest, Lollypop Woods, Ice Cream Floats, the Gingerbread Plum Tree , the Crooked Old Peanut Brittle House and Molasses Swamp.

My Opinion: This is a great first kids game is it has bright and beautifully drawn cards and easy to follow for young kids. I love this game and it will be given to any kids I know for years to come for either a birthday or Christmas.

Did you know Candy Land has been around since the 1940’s and has been a favorite first ever since? Millions of children have learned how to recognize colors, practice counting and acquire the skills of turn taking and following directions.

Eat Smart Precision Elite Food Thermometer Mother's Day Gift Guide 2015

I like to cook and sometimes I can’t cook beef accurately and it ends up to bloody on my plate and I am not one that like it raw I like it more of a medium to well done. I recently found Eat Smart Precision Elite Food Thermometer which features EatSmart InstaRead Technology - Measurements in 3 Seconds or Less! Temperature Range -40F - 572F, Resolution of .1 degree F, Large 1.5" LCD display with blue backlight - Easy to read,4" probe with 1.5mm step down , Measurement Modes: Fahrenheit / Celsius, Hold Feature - Lock in temperature for safe reading, Splash-proof design, FDA and NSF Certified, Auto Calibrated; Includes 2 AAA batteries.

It is also the size of 5.5" x 1.5" x 1" and weighs a mere 8 ounces!

My Opinion: I really enjoyed using this thermometer and found it to be very accurate with the meats I tested it on. I love the size as it is small but not to small to hold or read the numbers on it. The little case it comes with is great for storage as well. This is a great Mother’s Day of Father’s Day gift as I find grill cooking harder to determine when done compared to oven/stove cooking.

Fun Chalk Liquid Chalk Markers

I remember in school how much I liked writing with chalk but it was always messy on the hand and left dust on your fingers that had to be washed. How times have changed I recently got Fun Chalk in the mail to review by Gold Star Selections these now come in a pen and are a liquid chalk marker in 8 fun and bold colors. These are Non Toxic, Water base, washable, odorless, dust free, eco-friendly and hypoallergenic. The colors I got were white, orange, purple, pink, green, blue, yellow and orange.  You can use these to write on chalkboards, whiteboards, windows, mirrors, plastics and blackboards.

BEFORE

My Opinion: These work well after you get the color out and from pressing the tip and shaking lightly. I tried these on my white board and they write clearly and erase very easily with no residue or sign I ever used them which is nice. The marker idea I love immensely as I hate chalk dust residue on my hands as stated above.
