Scholastic and Cinedigm will be releasing Storybook Treasures Scaredy Squirrel and Bink & Gollie on DVD June 9, 2015 with a SRP $14.93. This stars Scaredy Squirrel who never leaves his nut tree. It is way too dangerous out there! But one day he suddenly finds himself out in the unknown world and ends up discovering something surprising.  Scaredy Squirrel has sold over 1.6 million books worldwide and voted best Book of 2014 by Amazon Editors. Written and Illustrated by Melanie Watt.

Blink & Gollie are marvelous companions who often do not agree on socks, on goldfish or venturing to the Andes. But when compromising these two different girls remain the best of friends. Blink & Gollie was Written by Kate DiCamillo& Alison McGhee and Illustrated by Tony Fucile.

The dvd features 4 stories along with behind the scenes look at Scaredy Squirrel Makes a Friend, Interview with Author/Illustrator Melanie Watt and interview with Illustrator Tony Fucile and runs 51 minutes long and for ages 4-8.

My Opinion: This is a great DVD that teaches kids about feelings, friendship and respect. I really like the story like and the simplicity of the movie.

Sloggers have been around since 1948 making footwear for men and women that are waterproof and made in the USA. I got to review a pair of boots that are for lawn and garden and called Leaf Print in Black these are perfect for mud season wearing outside, garden work and more. They are 0.5" Tall, Wide Opening - 15.5" cir, includes "All Day Comfort" Insoles, Heavy Duty Lug Tread, Easy Hose Off Clean and Durable Sole Contains up to 50% Recycled Material which are medical grade, prints won’t fade or rub off.

If you wear half size boots and shoes these can be made into half sizes by cutting and fitting them in the boots you have.

My Opinion: These came at the perfect time for mud season although this year mud season was not as bad as last year and I loved wearing these boots around. I even wore them to walk outside and around tome as these are so comfortable! I so am in love with these if you do not like the boots you can get shoes which also comes in a variety of prints for added color.

RBX Digital Camo Leggings

As a woman we should never have a season to remind us to get in shape but with summer approaching you may want to be ready for swimsuit season. I found some great leggings from RBX Active and I got a pair of the Active Digital Camo Leggings these are in the color green/gray and made with 88% Polyester and 12% Spandex and has a 21.5 calf inseam and in the sizes S, M, L and XL. The fabric pulls moisture away from the skin to keep your body dry along with having a four way stretch, flat lock seams and fade resistant.

My Opinion: I like the material and I did notice the more I sweated that I did not feel it on my body as much as when I wear other clothing. I hope the make plus sized pants soon as well. The price is competitive to other brands and since I like wearing bright, flashy pants and new one daily I can with these.

Food For life recently let me try out some of their Ezekiel 4:9 bread and I am not sure if you have seen this bread in your local supermarket freezer section but it is there and some stores have many varieties others only a couple. I got to try the Sprouted Whole Grain which is made from freshly sprouted organically grown grains, is naturally flavorful and bursting with nutrients; Rich in protein, vitamins, minerals and natural fiber with no added fat. Try it served warm to release its exceptionally rich nutty flavor. Cinnamon Raisin Sprouted Whole Grain which is high in fiber, vegan and of course loaded with raisins and cinnamon flavor.

Private Number Out Today!

On June 2, 2015 ARC Entertainment will be releasing Private Number on DVD with a SRP of $20.99. This movie was written and directed by LazRael Lison and stars Tom Sizemore (Blackhawk Down), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), Nicole Tom (The Nanny) and Hal Ozsan (Dawson’s Creek).

Private Number is about a series of sinister phone calls haunt an ex-alcoholic writer as he struggles to finish a novel. Efforts to trace the calls result in dead ends, leaving the author no choice but to solve the mystery himself. As he pieces together scant information he discovers the local police are hiding details about a horrific serial killer. In his obsessive search for answers he loses his grip on reality and spirals downward into a maelstrom of violence and terror.

My Opinion: This is a great film which has tons of twists and turns leaving me wanting more and wondering who did and the ending was a complete surprise to me and left me wondering and with more questions than answers.

This film runs 97 minutes and rated R.

Image Entertainment and RLJ Entertainment will be releasing Infected on DVD and Digital Download on June 2, 2015 for an MSRP $27.97. This movie was directed by Andrew Gilbert and stars Luke Hobson (Wayland’s Song), Nicky Paul Barton, Roger Fowler, Samuel Hogarth and David Wayman (After Death, Art Ache).

This movie is about an average day in a quiet suburb which becomes ground zero for the end of the world as we knew it. When a fest spreading global pandemic turns ordinary people into flesh eating monsters, a handful of terrified survivors and the remnants of an army squad find refuge in an elementary school turned emergency shelter. With the hordes of walking dead trying to get in, scarce weapons and a dwindling food supply the embattled refugees begin to turn on each other. As they slowly perish the desperately attempt to escape and determine if they are the last humans left on earth.

My Opinion: This movie is a good one and makes you wonder if they could happen and if it did how would you react? It kept my attention and entertained all the way through. I liked it a lot and would recommend to others to see as it being not rated at a parent’s discretion.

This is a Horror/Thriller Genre and runs 120 minutes long and not yet rated.
