My Opinion: I have used the Pure Almond Extract and it gives a nice flavor to the frosting on sugar cookies. I’m thinking the pure coffee extract is going to work well in terror must sue same with the pure chocolate extract and other dishes. I also like how if I wanted to substitute a product they don’t have such as a half ounces semi-sweet chocolate you can use 1 tablespoon of chocolate extract +1 teaspoon of sugar to equal that they will have to specially go out and buys semi-sweet chocolate can use a substitute.

Pepperidge Farm Toasted Marshmallow Milano Cookie

Guess what you can get now in stores? Pepperidge Farm Toasted Marshmallow Milano Cookie which you can find at Target and on Amazon. Pepperidge Farm is one of my favorite cookies the only problem I have with them is before I know it I eat the whole package in one day shame on me. I was thrilled to be able to test out a couple of these packages and since it is winter time why not think of something warm that you do in the summer which is toast marshmallows over an open fire. But I do know some places you can toast all year round or to keep warm outside you have a fire pit but not here in Maine is too cold.

Milano Tiramisu

12 servings

 Ingredients

6 large egg yolks

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup whole milk

Four 8-ounce containers mascarpone cheese, room temperature

2 cups espresso or strong coffee, room temperature

1/2 cup coffee liquor

2 packages Milano cookies

1/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder

Method

1. Line an 8x13in baking dish with plastic wrap, leaving a 3-inch overhang on all sides.

2. Make the custard: Whisk the egg yolks and sugar in a metal bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water until the sugar dissolves, whisking constantly until custard reaches 170 degrees.

3.  Place the bowl over another bowl with ice water and chill the custard.

4. Put the mascarpone in a large bowl. Fold the custard into the mascarpone with a rubber spatula until combined and set aside.

5. Combine the coffee and coffee liquor in a shallow bowl. Dip the Milano in the coffee mixture quickly and in the baking dish in a single layer.

6. Spread 1/3 of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked Milano layer.  Repeat with the second layer of coffee-dipped Milano, arranging them in the opposite direction.

7. Top with another one-third of the custard. Repeat with the remaining Milano, alternating directions.

8. Spread the remaining custard on top and dust with the cocoa powder. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 4 hours, or overnight.

9. Dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder and top with shaved chocolate and additional Milanos.

My Opinion: I really like the Milano Toasted Marshmallow cookies as they are sweet yet remind you of an open fire pit or campfire. It is more like a marshmallow creme in the middle.

I recently got a great canvas print from CanvasOnSale which was a photo of my parents from the train ride we went on back in September. The frame I chose was 12X8 inches with a standard wood frame along with the frame shadow being brown. My Opinion: I think the picture quality came out nicely and I just wished I could have gotten a metal frame with it as it would have made the picture pop so I will remember that for next time.
