Blue Orange has a new game out called U-Turn for ages seven and up and for two players. Get ready to build an exciting structure, full of twists and turns and snappy decisions! Flex your mind to build awesome and complex shapes, taking turns snapping on U-shaped bricks to surround one of your dots on the growing, six-sided structure. U-Turn will challenge your visual perception, critical thinking skills and thinking ahead, as each piece you add will affect the future shape of the game.

This game will take 10 minutes the play and the skills learned would be visual perception and problem solving. The contents of the box are 22 U-shaped bricks, drawstring bag, and illustrated rules.

My Opinion: this is a very interesting game when you first look at it and you think it’s like the” Rubik’s cube” but this is totally new and different as you trap the dot of your opponent to win. So, this is unique and challenging for me which I like.

Brix is a game from Blue Orange is for ages seven and up and two players, the contents of the box are 22 bricks and illustrated rules. The object of the game is to line up four in a row on a whole new level in this one of a kind strategy game! Players build their wall to victory with vibrantly colored blue and orange bricks engraved with white Xs and Os. The first player to align four of their symbol or color in a row wins the game and claims the wall! But watch out! Each brick contains both your symbol and color as well as those of your opponent. So each time you add a new piece, you risk helping your opponent win the game! Brix is a uniquely creative game that is fast to learn but employs a complex strategy that older children and adults will love!

The skills you learned when you play this game are problem-solving, spatial awareness, focus, and attention. The length of the game is 10 minutes.

My Opinion: it’s a very interesting game as you must plan your moves so you don’t accidentally let your opponent win but a fun game. A new version of Connect Four is what comes to mind as I loved playing this as a kid.

Candles are a must for me and I use them to make my house smell good along with being a way to relax and Simply Heaven has so many to choose from and I wanted a Christmas one and got the Christmas Tree that smells like a freshly cut 8-foot pine tree which is nice since I have a fake tree this year. It is a hand poured soy candle in a 9-ounce jar and burns 45-60 times. candles are richly scented with a two-wick design. This retails for $16.50 and the fragrance will fill the room almost immediately after lighting. Lastly, all Simply Heaven's Candles are 100% soy based, hand poured and made in the U.S.A.  Candy Cane Room Spray a classic with a peppermint sweet twist you will want to hang on your tree. An all-time favorite, great Holiday scent. This retails for $7.99 and comes in a 7.40-ounce canister.

My Opinion: The candle smells amazing and I like the 2 wick design, the room spray but the room spray does not ship well and leaks but I am sure that it will be fixed soon.

Tervis Elf Quotes & The Walking Dead Walkers

It is hard for me to find a cup that shows my style so when I heard about Tervis I just had to look them up online and I found some great cups. It is the holiday season and one of my favorite movies is Elf I wash this every day this month almost to the point that I can say every line of the movie. 

I even bought the wrapping paper to wrap gifts up with so the ELF cup I got 16 ounces called Elf Quotes and say some of my favorite quotes all over it which are thrown of lies, was it fun? Wow, you’re fast, Huh? I saw a dog today so much more. 

The other cups I got is for a family member who watches this show every Sunday on AMC and I am probably the only person in the world wasn’t seen the show and it is The Walking Dead 24 ounces and it’s called The Walking Dead Walkers it says where it all infected on it and has all the arms up in the air some with blood on him some without blood but is very beautifully wrapped.

 I really like these cups and I like that I can for hot and cold drinks in them they fit perfectly in Christmas stocking if I wanted to do that but I need to use the cup elf right now and enjoy my beverages and it. You can find a cup to go with your style and anybody style that such a versatile gift.

Chocolate Coffee Cut Out Cookies

Note: All cookies should be stored in closed containers to safeguard the moist, soft varieties from drying out, and the crisp ones against absorbing moisture from the air. Store soft and crisp cookies in separate containers. The crisp cookies should be cold before they are placed in the containers.

Yield: 3 to 4 dozen of cookies
Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup molasses

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

 Coupons

2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tbsp. instant coffee

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup milk

colored granulated sugar for decoration

Confectioner's sugar for serving

Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan large enough for mixing cookies. Stir in molasses and sugar. Sift together flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and instant coffee; add them to butter mixture along with milk and vanilla. Mix well. Chill dough 3 to 4 hours or until is stiff enough to handle.
Preheat an oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured board. Shape as desired with assorted cookie cutters, dipped in flour. Transfer them to the prepared sheets, spacing them 1 1/2 inches apart. Gather the scraps, re-roll and cut out more cookies. Sprinkle the cookies with the colored sugar.
Bake the cookies until the edges are crisp, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the baking sheets to wire racks and let the cookies cool briefly on the sheets, then transfer the cookies to the racks and let cool completely. Frost tops with Confectioner's sugar.
