Avatar: Fire and Ash Out Tomorrow

Avatar: Fire and Ash is out now on digital and on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD on May 19th, 2026, from 20th Century Studios, from producer James Cameron. This film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe SaldaƱa, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, to name a few.
Jake and Neytiri's family grapples with grief, encountering a new, aggressive Na'vi tribe, the Ash People, who are led by the fiery Varang, as the conflict on Pandora escalates and a new moral focus emerges.

Fans can explore the world of Avatar: Fire and Ash on a deeper level with more than three hours of never-before-seen bonus content, offering an expansive look at the creation of Pandora. The extras dive into the development of Na’vi culture, including the language, design, costumes, and environments, while also taking viewers behind the scenes of the filmmaking process with in-depth looks at performance capture, visual effects, and groundbreaking 3D technology that bring the immersive experience to life.

My Opinion: It has massive, multi-environment battle scenes across land, sea, and air, escalating the trilogy to a thrilling and epic scale. James Cameron’s commitment to CGI, high frame rate, and Dolby Vision 3D renders Pandora with striking, near-live-action photorealism. The introduction of the antagonistic, fire-based "Ash People" led by Varang (Oona Chaplin) provides a fierce, fresh counterweight to the blue Na'vi. The film effectively explores the themes of grief and war following the family losses in The Way of Water, and it was a long time I had to watch it in parts as it was hard to sit for over 3 hours to watch, but I did love it.
