Coloring Animal Mandalas By Wendy Piersall

I have been feeling a little stress in my life recently mostly because I have been out of work and money has been tight it was not for blogging to help keep my sanity I do not know what I would do with myself. I have  been reading about how coloring as an adult can help relax you and relieve some stress my sisters do it so I decided what the heck let’s give it a try. I got Coloring Animal Mandalas by Wendy Piersall from Ulysses Press now not to make you think these coloring books are nothing like kids they are more intricate patterns and smaller pictures. Coloring Animal Mandalas is Attain focus, clarity and peace while adding bright and inspiring colors to these unique patterns from the Sanskrit word for “circle,” mandalas have been used for meditation and healing for thousands of years. Coloring Animal Mandalas adds the beauty of the animal kingdom including butterflies, tigers, swans, snakes, lions, and even dragons into these intricate designs for page after page of coloring book bliss.

With roots in Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas are spiritual symbols that represent the universe. Coloring these hypnotically beautiful, mystical shapes is a meditative and enjoyable way to relax. A fun way to achieve a state of mindfulness, Coloring Animal Mandalas adds fosters creativity, reduces stress, and allows you to embrace your inner child by focusing on the simple but engaging task of coloring in the detailed designs.

My Opinion: I really enjoyed the different animals in this book and the picture is so small and some pictures do not have much to color. I know these are for adults but when I think of coloring books I think of large pictures with large lines so it is easy to color which again this book does not have. I did relax and able to focus on other things to occupy my mind.
