Cure Back Pain By Jean-Francois Harvey BSc, DO

The older I get the more aches and pains I have in my body/ I have been suffering from back pain for years and I think it may be time to see a doctor about it as I am tired of always relying on Motrin or Tylenol to help with the pain I am suffering. In the meantime, I found a book called Cure Back Pain By Jean-Francois Harvey BSc, DO .  This book offers tools to help prevent or alleviate your back pain.
Relying on the latest advances in the science of movement, this book offers the unique and innovative Spinal Training method to help prevent and alleviate back pain. In addition to strengthening your back, Spinal Training will also improve your posture, eliminate tension, reduce your stress response and diminish pain.
Drawing from various sources (Pilates, yoga, physical therapy) and based on the principles of osteopathy, biomechanics, and kinesiology, this holistic approach makes it possible to effectively and gently work on the areas that are the most important for good posture and a healthy back.

Thanks to clearly depicted exercise routines, lavish full-color illustrations of the back’s anatomy and needs, and 200 step-by-step photos, the reader will better understand the requirements for a healthy back. The 80 exercise routines are designed to be customized based on the self-assessment exercise provided, allowing the exercises to focus precisely on each person’s specific needs and desired outcome. Whether the goal is simply to maintain a healthy back or to reduce and eliminate pain, this book offers the right tools to make your back feel better.
My Opinion: I find this book has a ton of information and great tips and I will try to see if I can do some of the moves but I wonder if you suffer from arthritis or a degenerative condition how can this really help? I do like the stress relieving tips and exercises as well.

  1. Good book which helps to improve the back’s ability to bend and stretch and is safe if performed correctly. The basic idea is not to strain as well as to use your breathing to mobilize your back. Alternate from one position to the next in a smooth fashion, without a lot of effort, keeping your neck extended in a line from your back.

  2. I also enjoyed the book, lots of useful information. I am trying to find out if there is a DVD available with his program. It's easier to exercise with one than to keep looking at a book. Do you know if there is one?

  9. Sometimes, pain felt in one part of the body may stem from a disorder or injury incurred in other parts of the body. Very occasionally acute low back pain syndromes could become more serious if untreated.Laywayback
