Any time of the year is good for Mrs. Renfro’s from Renfro Foods I recently was sent a few items to review on my blog and I chose Garlic Salsa which is good for garlic lovers it is made with both fresh and fire roasted garlic purée in this oh so flavorful salsa makes a crowd-pleasing roasted garlic layered border dip. Green Tomato Pickles this is a famous sidekick to fried catfish these tangy pickled treats have earned a spot at barbecues, cookouts, tailgating parties and salad bars. Pumpkin Salsa this is Thanksgiving on a chip with a delightful marriage of pumpkin pie spices in real pumpkin with all the classic salsa ingredients. This is perfect for dipping, use as a marinade and makes a tasty base for slow cooking chicken and if you would like to try hearty pumpkin salsa soup you’ll find the recipe right on the label.
My Opinion: I really enjoyed the garlic salsa and I use that on not shows, burritos, tortilla chips and so much more Mexican recipes. The green tomato pickles were very interested in and I thought that maybe next year I will make them from my garden because it looks like it could be easy to do just use green tomatoes and use the seasonings you would for pickles. I also enjoyed the pumpkin salsa which I wasn’t sure I was going to as it is very unusual but pleasantly surprised with the taste. And I tried it first on a tortilla chip but then thought it would taste good with cinnamon sugar pita chips.
As you know Mrs. Renfro’s also has barbecue sauce, cheese sauce, salsa, peppers, and relishes.
