My Opinion: I do own a dog which  has short hair but that does not mean I don’t get any lint or other things on my clothes. I tested this out and first I wiped it on my couch to clean up mass that I dipped it into the base and when I remove the brush I notice it took all the fur and lint off the way it’s supposed to so that is great. But I found it hard to remove from the base and struggled a bit.
