Revell SnapTite Holiday Gift Guide 2015

I have not met any man or boy who does not like to put model cars together so this Christmas season I am giving some as gifts. Revell SnapTite sent me a few to review and tell you about in case you are considering getting some yourself.

2015 Mustang GT in the color yellow The Mustang was designed to be the vehicle that anyone in America could afford. It became the vehicle that everyone in America wanted. Mustangs have called Americans out onto the open road for generations. Now, this SnapTite Build & Play kit calls to the youngest generation. Easy to build and fun to play with, it's poised to give a whole new generation the thrill of having something that they've made. It is skill level 1 which is for anyone to build, for ages 6+, will take ½ hour to build, the length is 7-1/2", width 3" height: 2-3/16" and includes 12 pieces or parts.

2013 Camaro ZL1 in the color red which is skill level 3, for ages 10 +, will take 3 hours to build, the length is 7-1/2”, width 3-1/4”, height 2-1/8 “ and has 48 pieces. One look at the Camaro ZL1 and you're hooked. It's beautiful. Then, if you're lucky, you get a look under the hood at the 580 horsepower V-8, and any gear head will fall in love. Of course, with a price tag roughly in the "maybe one day, if I'm lucky" range, you're probably better off just building this exquisite model. Kit features a pre-decorated body, fully-detailed 6.2 liter V-8 engine, and metal axles.

The Black Diamond Pirate Ship this is skill level 2, for ages 8+ and will take 1 hour to build. The length is 11-1/4 “, height 8-1/2” and width 2-1/4” and has 26 parts.  The crew of the Black Diamond lives on a cutlass' edge, sweeping the high seas of any lubber hapless enough to get in range of the long nines. This crew of sea dogs is looking for a new captain to lead them to riches, do you have what it takes? Sure you do, the one-piece hull makes it easy to get the Diamond into the seas. But beware, there's a short rope hanging from a tall mast for any who get themselves caught by the East India Company.

My Opinion: I really like the models that are replicas of the original cars and ship. These are great for the model lover in your life and they are very realistic. Based on the skill level depends on how to build them.
