For me the winter months mean comfort food and during that time I cook a lot like in the hot months, it is hard cooking and wanting to eat heavy foods. I got Just Like Home Kitchen Recipes pasta sauces to try and review.
Buttery Marinara the mother-daughter duo of Laurinda and Caitlyn created this gluten-free recipe at home in Arizona for Caitlyn’s dietary needs. Its delicious buttery flavor is complemented with subtle spices for a grand taste we believe pasta sauce lovers across the country will truly love. Zesty Tomato Basil & Cheese Cyndy’s tomato basil recipe was created with two different versions; this one is for those wanting a pasta sauce with just a little zing to it. The other one is spicier and creamier with some chicken added, and currently reserved for her husband. But someday it may make it out of her kitchen in Florida.
NY Lip Smackin’ Garlic Christina, from the heart of New York, wanted to create a pasta sauce that had a depth of flavor and an extra kick. So for all you garlic lovers out there from coast to coast, this lip-smackin’ garlic recipe will very likely have your lips asking for seconds.
Chicago Style Bolognese Dave grew up in the Chicago area and often hung around the kitchen when his mom cooked. His love for food led him to experiment and create lots of recipes. We’re happy he shared this meaty one, and hope you like the added kick of green pepper. All he requests is that you root for the Cubs.
Mushroom Cabernet the inspiration for this sauce came from a recipe submitted by someone who preferred to remain incognito. So while her name and likeness are not on the label, we’re happy to be able to share this delicious blend of California Cabernet, mushrooms, and real butter. Sauce up!
Sweet Potato Pomodoro Mary created the original recipe for this deliciously unique pasta sauce in her kitchen in Oklahoma, the heartland of America. The combination of sweet potatoes with tomatoes and a blend of spices delivers a one-of-a-kind flavor that’s perfect with pasta as well as your favorite meats. Once you try it you’ll be back more “Sooner” than you think.
My Opinion: I had the NY Lip Smackin’ Garlic and it was yummy just spicy from so much garlic. I also tried the Chicago Style Bolognese in my lasagna and it was yummy. I also like how a portion of the sales go to homeless shelters as it is an important issue.
