I remember when my dad was alive he would play solitaire on his computer when he was bored to pass the time. I also play games online and I recently found out about Solitaire.org which of course has solitaire in many versions including Classic, Spider, Klondike, Free Cell, Pyramid, Tripeaks, and Golf. You can also play Mahjong, Hidden Objects, Blackjack, Crazy Eights, Gin Rummy, Hearts, Spite & Malice, Euchre, Match 3, Logic Puzzles, and Word. I was curious about the benefits of playing games online not only does it pass the time but they also help with memory as you need to concentrate and be strategic, mood, problem-solving, social skills, decision making, perception and vision, and spatial visualization.
I just played Classic Solitaire and realized I am a bit rusty and I also played solitaire golf which I did ok with. Now to play Mahjong Cooking which was challenging as you had to put all the food on the dish together but a nice twist. I also love the hidden object game it was so much fun but lots of searching for the object. I like keeping my mind sharp and strong as when I get older it can get dull, unfortunately. I also play while I am waiting to see the doctor as they take forever a lot of the time and it helps keep me from getting mad as I am not very patient this is a nice distraction until you can be seen. I have been playing every day now when I first wake up and at night to unwind it is o much fun and I am so glad I found this website.
