The Apostle’s Sister by Angela Hunt from Bethany
House Publishing. She's
always longed for more, but what if the path she's chosen requires more than
she's willing to give?
After moving to Jerusalem with her husband, Aya expects to be bored in her role as wife to a Torah student. Instead, she finds herself fascinated by his studies. Then her brother makes a life-altering decision, and she must face a troubling question: Can she remain true to her beliefs and still love her blasphemous brother?
My Opinion: Her religious fiction books take a biblical character
or characters and tell a story with provides some hypothetical events that
just might give us a glimpse of their lives from a different point of view than
we get in the Bible. What Angela Hunt has done is take a younger sister of the
Apostle Paul and tell a story from the viewpoint of the sister who grew up and
lived in the shadow of Sha'ul, who was the son who studied in Jerusalem under
the renowned Torah teacher, Gamaliel, who excelled at everything to the
extreme.
