ScarAway is a professional grade silicone scar
sheet, the technology used by burn centers, plastic surgeons and hospitals. I
recently got to review them and I have a scar from a surgery a couple years ago
on my stomach that I would like to be not so bright or apparent and I also have
stretch marks on my stomach from the extra weight I am carrying so getting them
smaller would be key for me. How you use ScarAway is wash the area, peel off
liner from adhesive side of sheet then apply adhesive side directly to scar. These
are comfortable to wear but caution if you develop a rash or allergic reaction.
The way they work
is by effectively shrink, flatten and fade hypertrophic (raised) and keloid
scars. These are a medical-grade scar treatment product brings you the ultimate
in non-invasive, drug-free scar treatment; Scars may feel softer in just a few
days, with visible results in just weeks. Optimal results are achieved in about
12 weeks. Doctor recommended numerous clinical
studies support the safety and efficacy of silicone sheeting for the reduction
and prevention of scars. Unlike scar minimizing creams and
ointments; ScarAway Silicone Scar Sheets deliver a slight pressure directly to
the scar, simulating the natural barrier function of healthy skin. This safe,
gentle process diminishes the scar’s appearance and restores skin to a more
natural texture and color.
ScarAway can
be used on any skin tone old or new skin and as soon as the area is healed you
can apply.
These are ultra
thin and non-greasy so it won’t stick to clothing. Each sheet is washable and lasts
approximately one week; remove while bathing or showering and keep in
convenient storage case that comes with kit. These can be
used for Burns, Surgeries, Injuries, C-Sections and Kid’s Scrapes.
My Opinion: I applied one to my skin and noticed an
improvement with a smaller scar by days four and five but each result will vary
by person. I really enjoy using these sheets and will for any need to shrink or
reduce a scar.
