Available now on Digital, on DVD January 19,2021 from Warner Brothers Home Entertainment is Toys OF Terror with an MSRP of $19.98 (In Canada $24.98). It stars Kyana Teresa (“Shadowhunters,” “Star Trek: Discovery”),
Georgia Waters (“Siren”), Verity Marks (“The Christmas Club”), Dayo Ade (“Workin Moms,” “October Faction”), Saul Elias as Franklin Cashman and Zoe Fish. The film is written and executive produced by Dana Gould (“Stan Against Evil,” “The Simpsons”) and directed by Nicholas Verso (Boys in the Trees, “Nowhere Boys”). The movie is produced by Blue Ribbon Content in association with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and SYFY.
Just before Christmas, young siblings Zoe and
Franklin and their family move into a secluded mansion with a dark past. While
the adults focus on renovating the place, the bored kids find a toy chest
hidden in the attic and are delighted when the toys inside magically come to
life. But bizarre events soon begin to take place events that threaten the
family’s safety.
Christmas dawns with gifts piled under the tree, but
soon the body count rises and blood starts to flow. This original “scary tale”
will have you screaming for the holidays!
My Opinion: It was scary and using toys is so wrong
on many levels but it did have me watching it intensely. It was a low-budget
film but I enjoyed it just the same to satisfy my horror movie craving.
