If you have not seen the movie A Cross To Bear then I feel that it is a movie that has to been seen especially if you know anyone that suffers from addiction and may be homeless. This movie is being released from RLJ Entertainment and One Village Entertainment. It stars Kim Fields (Facts Of Life, Living Single), Danielle Deadwyler (Sweet, Sweet Country), Jackie Long (Love Wrecked, Grand Theft Auto) and Malinda Williams (The Cosby Show, High School High).
This is about a girl named Erica Moses she has hopes and dreams as girl but soon learns life has other plans for her. She has failed relationships, homelessness and addiction. Erica has now hit rock bottom when she faces a young mother’s worst nightmare the loss of her child. With nowhere left to turn she finds herself on the door steps of a very special house. This house is also a women’s shelter where she finds a helping hand and a second chance.
My Opinion: I work at a detox facility and see many women and men come and sometimes repeatedly. I wish they could see this movie and give them inspiration to not give up and go for what you want. I found this movie to be inspirational, moving and very true with what is happening in this world today. I really loved this movie.
