Uprising Memories Book One by I.R. Leroux from
Austin Macauley Publishing. Annabelle is a 29-year-old virgin who wakes up
every morning removing her darkest fear- for past. And she meets her new
next-door neighbor, Damien Black if that is even his real name. Her body burns
with desire for his touch, but two things are stopping her, her broken soul and
scars on her body. As though that was not enough, she meets George Povalski, a
seductive, rich bachelor who gives her a proposition she will not be able to
refuse. These two men know her from her past, and want her, for different reasons.
Will she be able to remember them? As this love triangle comes to life, the
world will crash, as the memories that haunt her come to life when her best
friend Rachelle is kidnapped.
This is the beginning of the dark world of human
trafficking, where young women are kidnapped, forced to submit as a sexual
slave, and when they are ready, they are sold to the highest bidder.
My Opinion: this was a very interesting book as it
has ironic and also a very real topic of human trafficking that happens too much
today. I really enjoyed this book as it has been a long time since I read this
type of novel.
