With the weather getting nicer and less cold and
rainy days here in Maryland it makes me think of ways to make my living space
cozier and inviting. There are many things you can do such as your kitchen
whether it is large or small, ample storage is always a selling point
if you are selling or want more storage. Take advantage of an unclaimed wall or
corner space with open shelves to keep dishes, spices, and frequently
used cookware within easy reach. If you’re an entertainer, consider mounting a
wine rack next to or under the upper cabinets.
Sunrooms
Conservatory recreating brings in ample sunlight and livens up the home with
wall-to-wall windows and skylights. Check out these sunny spaces for some
design inspiration.
Maybe
the entrance to your house needs to look better where you can increase the curb
appeal with Millwork as it can pull elements of
indoor style outdoors to give your exterior a sophisticated look. Frame
your front door with millwork, and paint it to coordinate with your
home exterior. If the front of your home looks more
like a barren wasteland than an overgrown jungle, adding some greenery will
help the home pop and look more inviting. Buy some big planters and fill them
with tall evergreen bushes like boxwoods, juniper, or Hicks Yew. If the main
walkway up to your house is a boring series of concrete slabs or is broken,
cracked or otherwise rundown looking, you can easily create a new one for not
much money. Cool flat flagstones can be attached to the good, but bland, concrete
or try laying out your own brand new walkway, just ask a home improvement store
for tips.
The living room is a place you spend a lot of time in
watching tv, relaxing, reading, talking, playing games, and entertaining guests
there are simple ways you can update and improve your living room by creating a
statement wall which you can do yourself by making it one color to contrast/compliment
the other walls. You could also use wallpaper or textured wall covering, paint
the wall with the bold pattern: chevron, stripes, geometric shapes, small pattern
stencils, or inspirational quote or saying. Change your lampshade to something
with a pattern, color, or shape. Buy a new throw pillow are a great way to add
trendy looks without a long-term commitment. With solid color furniture,
mix-and-match patterns, and textures with single-color pillows in contrasting
hues. Look for a range of sizes to create a cozy pillow arrangement on a sofa
and don’t forget to include a couple large pillows ideal for kids’ floor
seating.
Studio sunrooms are

existing roof design allowing you to add the Sunroom of your dreams to your
deck or patio. With this sunroom, you can create that perfect space to escape
the winter blues or enjoy that peaceful meal with family and friends. There are
