Out now from Lionsgate is 1992 which stars Tyrese Gibson, Cle Bennett, Dylan Arnold, Christopher A’mmanuel, Michael Beasley, Ori Pfeffer, Tosin Morohunfola, Oleg Taktarov, Scott Eastwood, and Ray Liotta. From executive producer Snoop Dogg, 1992 is a tense crime-thriller that follows Mercer as he desperately tries to rebuild his life and his relationship with his son amidst the turbulent 1992 L.A. uprising following the Rodney King verdict.
Across town, another father and son (Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood) put their own strained relationship to the test as they plot a dangerous heist from the factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise in Los Angeles and chaos erupts, both families reach their boiling points when they collide.
My Opinion: I found this movie to be powerful and
real. I was on the edge of my seat as I watched father and sons in two
different families trying to built a relationship. 1992 was a scary time when the Rodney King verdict came as people felt outraged by the police being so
forceful with people they pulled over.
