Dancing Feat A Dancer’s Journey to 14 Golden Rules
of Teaching A Memoir by Eveline Carle. At the age of seven, after the death of
her brother, her mother left. 14, Evelyn finds herself living in an Ashram in
upstate New York after her father forces her out of the family home. The study
of dance was not always the secret taping she may have wished for, but it soon
became her life. This book is about Eveline’s journey through ballet school and
the national ballet company, connecting with this sacredness both inside and
out, so that one day she could find herself back on a path of service, making
the teaching of dance a golden experience.
My Opinion: this book is a "how-to" for
dancers and those who might teach dance. It is a deeply felt and deeply moving
memoir of a difficult life lived, challenges overcome, and insights gained
throughout her lifetime.
