The Shield The Complete Series on DVD
from Mill Creek Entertainment was created by Shawn Ryan
(TV’s S.W.A.T., Timeless, The Unit), and stars Michael Chiklis
(TV’s Gotham, Fantastic 4), Catherine Dent (TV’s The Agents of
S.H.I.E.L.D.), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Jay Karnes (TV’s The
Crossing), Benito Martinez (TV’s How to Get Away With
Murder, American Made), CCH Pounder (Avatar) and Kenny Johnson
(TV’s S.W.A.T.).
Controversial, compelling and critically acclaimed, this
police genre gave us one of the greatest antiheroes in television history. Vic
Mackey, a corrupt cop, runs his elite Strike Team under his own set of rules,
bringing the conflict to the streets of Los Angeles and within his precinct.
My Opinion: I vaguely remember when the Shield was on but I never
watched it so be able to watch the complete series with over 70 hours and 23
minutes was awesome. This series contains adult content, explicit language, and
some nudity so might not be recommended for all viewers. Within the first 20
minutes, I was intrigued and hooked and recommend this to anybody as it has a
great storyline.
