Philippians by Joyce Meyer is coming out on March 2,
2021 from Faith Words. “Paul wrote this
epistle while held captive in a Roman prison. Even under the difficult
circumstances of incarceration, he still found joy! What was his secret? I believe
it was that he learned to think according to God’s word. If we choose to live
with a positive perspective, even the worst circumstances cannot steal our joy.
Paul’s letter to the people at Philipi serves as a
reminder that if we search for joy and possessions, places, or people, we will
always come up short. True, lasting joy comes only through faith in Jesus
Christ, living in peace, and serving others in the name of Christ. The life of
joy in service lived by the Philippians is still attainable today. In her
comprehensive approach, Joyce Meyer takes a deep dive into well-known and
beloved verses, identifying key truths and incorporated room for personal
reflection.
The final book in her biblical study series, Joyce’s
Philippians provides a practical, effective study tool that will help you
develop a stronger relationship with God. If you take time to examine his work,
you’ll gain a greater understanding of God’s love for you and his desire that
you live a joyful and fulfilling life!
Paul’s prays for the Philippians, just as all of
Paul’s letters are written for us today, as well as for his primary audience
during his lifetime, so are his prayers. I have learned many lessons about
right and wrong ways to pray for people by studying Paul’s prayers for the
churches to whom he wrote.
My Opinion: I learned a lot from this book I don’t read
a lot of the Bible so being able to read these simple studies helps me
understand more and I can do a personal reflection at the end of each chapter.
I learn something more each day about Paul and how to grow closer to God in my
life along with the bible versus the reference. I agree I need to take more time to get closer to god and read it daily.
