When I think of Thanksgiving I think of turkey and when I think of turkey I think about the juicy Butterball turkey which has a blue label which my family has used for years since I was a child. Not only that but what recipes I remember my mom making for Thanksgiving we use today and some that was made one year but was a flop and was stopped like my stuffing is always Bell in a red box which my mom has used year after year.
My traditions are a bit different then my mom’s but I am glad she is close to me so I can enjoy the holidays every year with her and maybe someday when I am a bit older I may bring back some of her traditions for old time sake. So this just brings me to Throwback Thursday and what are some of your favorite recipes you had as a kid? Share a photo of vintage dishes of it on Butterball Facebook or Instagram page or share a family photo bringing the past back to the present. Let me see if you remember any of these vintage recipes found on the Butterball website Oyster Stuffing, Glazed Turkey I had glazed turkey one year with real maple syrup it was rather tasty. I went to see if i could find some old pictures from Thanksgiving when i was a child and my family never took any i was so surprised.
