movie is written and directed by Chris Dowling and stars Kristoffer Polaha
(TV’s Ringer), Billy Zabka (The Karate Kid), Brooke Burns (Shallow Hal), Kerr
Smith (TV’s Dawson Creek) Michael Grant (TV’s A Secret Life of the American
Teenage), Alan Powell (The Song), Danica McKellar (TV’s The Wonder Years) and
introducing David DeSanctis.
Calvin Campbell a former pro baseball player with a
self-destructive streak, has his faith in God restored when he meets Produce,
an inspirational man with Down Syndrome. As their friendship develops, Calvin
is reminded that hope grows in the most unlikely places.
This DVD includes Deleted Scenes, Stop the R-Word, Casting
David DeSanctis, Audio Commentary with Writer and Director Chris Dowling and
Actor David DeSanctis .
My Opinion: This is a great movie that will touch
your heart as you put yourself in the shoes of the kid with Down syndrome and
see what obstacles he overcomes with faith, courage and friendship. I will
watch this over and over again to help encourage me when I am feeling
discouraged.
