Beauty Alert

I received in the mail as part of product review Beauty Alert which is a company that makes labels you put on your cosmetics when you first open them with 3 months, 6 months, 12 months or 18 plus months however long the product is good for. It also has on the label date of first use. You may be wondering how long are your cosmetics good for and here is what I learned and never knew about them :
Mascara 3-6 months if you have sensitive eyes go more towards the 3 month range.
Liquid Eyeliner 3-4 months .
Skin Care Products opened products 6 months or unopened 2-3 years
Concealer 6-9 months
Foundations 6-9 months
Powder eyeshades 1-2 years
Blushes 1-2 years
Lipsticks and Lip Gloss 1-2 years
Pencil Eyeliner 1 year
Those are a majority of beauty products. You may be asking why labels are important it is to help with the spread of bacteria. If you have a cold or a cold sore it is recommended to throw out after use so you do not contaminate yourself. This all makes perfect sense to me and I never realized all this until recently and now I am going to label all my beauty products if they do not show any type of expiration date and get rid of all the really old stuff. Just think how much neater and organized your cabinets will be ! The company that makes these labels again are Beauty Alert you can find more about this product by visiting
You can purchase a packet of 20 labels for a price of $4.95 and they also offer a IPHONE app for $1.99 , such a great price.

In no way was I compensated for this review and this is solely my own opinion which may differ from yours.
