This book is about a girl named Alara Martin who has had strange dreams about a far away world. As she turns fifteen years old they increase with intensity and has a hard time knowing which is real and which are fake and thinks about them constantly. When she starts suffering from a particularly traumatic and vivid nightmare, Alara learns from her parents she is not there real daughter. Alara finds this hard to believe and has more questions. Who are her parents? Where does she belong? Why these strange dreams nightly? Can Alara decide if she belongs in the world of Malent and how can she leave her current world of her true heritage? I found this book hard to get into at first and then finally the story picked up to a pace I liked and could not put it down. This is a must read and see what fantasy adventure you have ahead.
