Whispers in the wind By Lauraine Snelling

I received in the mail as part of a product review from Bethany House Whispers in the Wind by Lauraine Snelling. This is about a girl named Cassie Lockwood who was a gun sling in North Dakota with her parents but after they die she finds a deed to land in South Dakota where she goes to with her companions this is where her dad dreamed of building a home but never did it. The land is also owned by Mavis Engstrom she had two sons and one daughter. Mavis Engstrom meets with Cassie and confirms the deed and information is correct and invites her to move to the Bar E Ranch with her companions and animals. Mavis’s son Ransom is suspicious and her son Lucas is smitten by Cassie. I love this story as it takes place during simpler times when there was gold to be found and cowboys and Indians. Cassie has a lot to learn about herself and her new found friends.  I would read this book this is the second book in the Wild West Wind Series.
