Recently I was sent a couple of games from Blue
Orange Games and I want to share them with you because I think these are two
awesome games. One is called Gigamons which is for ages six and can be played
with 2 to 4 players can play at a time it comes in a small round box and
includes 42 Elemon Tiles, 7 Gigamon Figures, 3 Rock Tokens, 4 Reference Cards
and illustrated rules.
Enter a realm where magic
reigns and the world’s elements are creatures with mythical abilities! On your
turn, you will look at 2 of the face-down Elemons on the table, revealing them
to all players. When you find a pair of Elemons, you will earn them and also
invoke their unique special power, giving you an advantage for the rest of the
game. Every three of the same Elemon you find, will summon the corresponding
Gigamon to your side. And when you have 3 Gigamons, you win the game! Gigamons
is a game artistically designed to engage the player’s imagination and carry
them away to a new world. Playtime of the game is 15 minutes and kids get the
following skills from it memory, focus, attention and problem solving.
The
other game I got is called Top That! This is for ages six and up and can be
played with 2 to 4 players. What is included in the box is 55 challenge cards,
4 black top hats,4 red caps,4 orange tubes,4 green tubes,4 white rabbits and
illustrated guide. The object of the game is to Put on your hat, break out your
props, and hide your rabbits in this magical match up! When the challenge card
is flipped over, players race to stack their objects in 1 single pile following
3 simple rules: objects printed in color must be visible on the stack, objects
printed in grey must be hidden INSIDE objects on the stack, and objects
surrounded by stars must be kept empty. Do you have what it takes to master
your magic in this grand stack ‘em up finale? The skills your child will learn
from this game are problem solving, visual perception, processing speed, fine
motor skills, focus and attention.
My Opinion: these are all great games that I am
going to play with my nieces and nephews with I think my oldest nephew would
enjoy Gigamons as it has the wizards Guild an interesting looking figures. I
like the skills that kids will learn from these games and Top That!; Will be
lots of fun with my nieces as one of them loves the white rabbit and also has a
magic theme to it.
