Relay Holiday Gift Guide 2018

Not all parents may want their kids to have a cell phone especially when they can be distracting and similar to a computer but in your hand. Some kids may find them difficult and overwhelming to operate. Relay is simple to use your whole the power button for five seconds, the relay should vibrate in the LED brain will spin as it boots up. Once powered on, just press and hold the center button to send a message. Your relays are linked on a shared “channel” works like a group walkie-talkie that all of your relays are part of. Each message will immediately be sent to the other devices. You can adjust the volume of your relays by pressing the volume key on the side of the relay. Relays charge with the included magnetic cable. Just align the cable to the back of the relay and they will snap together. This app allows parents to locate each relay and communicate from the app to the relay devices. It also includes a free channel store, which includes features like the ability to connect relays together from different accounts.

The company recently added new channels to relate, like music, Echo and a language translator.  You will find the app on Google Play or the Apple Store by searching for Relay by Republic. Once downloaded, you can log in the app with the credentials above in view your devices. You can also hold down the volume button on the relay to send a channel alert to the relay app. This allows a child with a relay to alert the parent on a phone that they want to chat. To change the channels quickly press the power button and your relay will say which channel you’re currently on. Press again to change it.

My Opinion: I got the colors Mint & Gray I really do like how small it can easily and can fit in the kids back pocket and carry around as having to carry something with a screen that she’s going to fall out there pocket and possibly ruin the screen and crack it. This is also easier for kids to use that might not want a cell phone or have difficulty with a cell phone. Relay has tracking on them so parents know where kids are which is a nice feature. This is a great gift to give your kids this holiday season for a piece of mind of knowing that they are safe.
