It is that time of the year to make sure your
heating system is ready for the winter months and that includes changing the
filter. There is a new product you can assist with that called The Filtr Grip
the tool is made of steel so no planned obsolescence here. It’s easy to use and
it costs less than you’ll spend at all the big box stores on a few HVAC
filters, particularly if you buy HEPA filters. Fabricated from polished steel
with a nickel coating. This, stiff, planar jaws fit into tight spaces. Design
is protected by two issued US utility patents. Jaws parallel at one inch, the
standard filter thickness. Ergonomic design with vinyl covers for sure
gripping. The stiff spring grabs a filter and won’t let go!
My Opinion: For my hand strength I have difficulty
opening it up to use but it was small enough to reach on those tight spaces
where the filter is and pull it out and replace with a new one.
