Little Justice Leaders Holiday Gift Guide 2020

When you sign up for Little Justice Leaders, each month you will receive a box of carefully selected resources to help your learners understand a social justice issue. We use arts and crafts, projects, books, and other activities to help your child or students understand complex issues. This box is made specifically for kids in grades K-6, so the content is fun, educational, and age-appropriate. Talking about social justice issues can be hard. We want to make it easier. With conversation starters, activities, and other goodies, you can make these tough conversations fun and interesting for your learners.

I got the Family Monthly Box for k-6 grade and costs $44.99 which this month is Bilingualism and Appreciating Language Differences. It has the book Book Fiesta! Celebrate Children's Day/ Book Day which is in a bilingual book By Pat Mora and illustrated by Rafael Lopez. Book discussion question cards so you can dive deeper about the book together.

Learn more about El Dia del Nino the book is based on The Day of the Child, which is a celebration of children that began in Mexico.

Do research on a language you do not know.

Learn about games, crafts, recipes, and more from around the world with your Global Kid's Deck pick at least one activity to engage in together as a family from the deck.

Write your own bilingual story! use the blank book, stickers, and markers to create your own bilingual story.

Review your Brain Facts card to learn about how learning another language can help your brain become stronger.

Using your Culture Appropriation card is important to learn about because we always want to be respectful of the culture we seek to understand.

Learn about EllaMae Looney's work to support language and talk about why language revitalization is so important as a means of preserving the culture we seek to understand.

Put up your "Little By Litte/ Poco a Poco" poster with art by the incredible Lizzy Russinko.

My Opinion: It is a great box and perfect for homeschooling and to just learn about other cultures.
