The Soulful Child Twelve Years in the Wilderness By Chloe Rachel Gallaway

The Soulful Child Twelve Years in the Wilderness By Chloe Rachel Gallaway from Citrine Publishing. Out of the counterculture movement of the 60s arises a true story about risking it off or true freedom. Folksinger Jerry Gallaway and ex-ballet dancer Reva Lynn Gallaway leave behind a life of opportunity and fame to raise a family in the woods of northern New Mexico. 46 children born in the wild with no birth certificates, no worldly identity, only the song of nature printed on them at birth, the woods became a place of learning and a place of refuge, until tragedy uprooted their foundation, leaving the youngsters split between two worlds. When forced to choose for themselves, with a live-in nature with their parents, or seek a new life in society? Chloe Rachel Gallaway is the soulful child, bringing us the healing power of the wild through her photographic memories, authentic voice, and a tale of modern-day warriors and freethinkers.

In their hearts and an essential message about the priceless gifts of mother nature, her cycles of life and loss, in the transformative power of forgiveness.
My Opinion: I was amazed that this is a true story of how Chloe and her siblings were born in the wild and how they relied on nature, instinct, and each other to survive. You never really know what people have gone through until you hear their story.. Her writing style is poetic and graceful. You feel what she felt, you see what she saw, and you smile when she smiled. The story itself is so amazing but having it told by someone that can describe each moment with so much emotion, love, sadness, and everything in between makes you feel as if you were with her.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading this story and I truly recommend it for anyone.
